Just a quick note to let you know that this year the ‘1 in 1000’ campaign is being organised by the Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland.
Your support last year helped build a new CF isolation unit in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin. As we went over and above our €200,000 target, we are delighted to be able to donate the excess €87,300 to the proposed new children and adult CF outpatient unit in Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar.
The ‘1 in 1000’ 2011 campaign intends to raise funds for new-born CF screen support services for parents along with ongoing isolation unit building projects around the country and we’d love you to get involved again this year.
The CF Association will be in contact with you or alternatively you can get in touch with them at runningforcf@cfireland.ie , on 1890 311 211 or by clicking on this link. Entries for the Flora Mini Marathon open on 2nd March so don’t delay!
Thanks once again for making a difference to the lives of children with CF.
With kind regards
The ‘1 in 1000’ 2010 team

The aim of 1 in 1000 — Running for Cystic Fibrosis, was to mobilize 1000 women to participate in the Flora Mini Marathon on 7 June 2010.
We asked each woman to get at least €200 in sponsorship to enable us to raise the sum of €200,000 required to complete a new four bed Cystic Fibrosis isolation unit in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin.
The intention was also to bring women together for a great cause, raising spirits, awareness, support and a huge sense of achievement.
